Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Retextured Sound handles personal data and project data.
Effective date: March 14, 2026
Applies to web + desktop app
1. What We Collect
- Project content you create in the app (video timeline data, markers, settings).
- YouTube integration profile metadata saved by the app (for example channel label, channel title, optional channel id, optional login hint).
- Contact form data if you send feedback (name, email, message).
2. YouTube OAuth and API Data
When you connect YouTube, Google OAuth is used and the app requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload.
- OAuth access tokens are used only to authenticate API calls needed for upload flow.
- YouTube channel profile lookup is used to identify the selected channel in the app UI.
- The app is designed to avoid storing long-term Google credentials in project files.
3. How We Use Data
- To provide rendering, project management, and YouTube publishing features.
- To maintain your saved local integration profiles and export defaults.
- To respond to support and feedback requests you submit.
4. Where Data Is Processed
Depending on the feature you use, data may be processed by:
- Cloudflare Pages / Functions for website hosting and serverless endpoints.
- Google APIs for OAuth and YouTube upload operations.
- GitHub when contact-form submissions are routed to issue tracking.
5. Data Retention
- Local project and local settings remain on your device/browser storage until you delete them.
- Contact submissions routed to issue tracking remain according to that platform's retention policy.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a client-first media tool, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
- You can remove local project data and local profile settings in the app.
- You can revoke Google OAuth access from your Google account security settings.
8. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, use the in-app contact form (Help -> Contact) or open an issue in the project repository.
